Circulation coins

Circulation coins of the Czech Republic are currently produced in six denominations: CZK 1, 2, 5, 10, 20 and 50. Previously minted 10, 20 and 50-haller coins were gradually pulled from general circulation. More information about Czech circulation coins is posted on the website of the Czech National Bank.

The fifty-crown bimetal coin with motives of Prague was declared the most beautiful circulation coin  in an annual U.S. competition held by the World Coin News magazine and the Krause Publications in 1993.

Circulation coins are struck in two qualities – standard and proof. Standard coinage is used daily as currency. Unlike standard coins, proof coins have a polished surface and are sold in sets, in particular for collector and representative purposes.
